Book Review: The Global Residence & Citizenship Handbook by Christian H. Kälin

We were delighted to participate in a conference last Friday at the Baur au Lac in Zurich, where members of Henley & Partners presented alongside representatives from the government of St. Kitts & Nevis.  Christian Kälin, a Henley representative in Zurich (and the newly-appointed Consul-General of St. Kitts & Nevis), was on hand to discuss residency and second passport programs.  Having spent the better part of the past weekend dissecting his latest tome, we are delighted to recommend this book to those clients who are contemplating second passports or residency in another country.

The book is an encyclopedia of knowledge on what, for even skilled international lawyers, is a vaguely defined area of law, but an increasingly popular field of practice that gives rise to frequent questions and warrants the thorough analysis afforded in this treatise. Individual chapters are dedicated to entire countries whose residency and citizenship-by-investment programs are sought the world over.  A handy chart shows how each country’s passport measures up against its peers.

Look for Mr. Kälin’s treatise on Amazon and other online booksellers.
